Position Project Estimator
Salary $25,000 - $30,000 annually
Essential Duties and Responsibilities A day in the life of a Project Estimator As a project estimator, you have flexibility to work both in the office as well as at home. You meet with the sales/design associate on current projects and gather information pertaining to the remodeling project.  You then complete the floor plan design using a 3D program along with completing all other pertinent plans for the remodeling project.  You also obtain quotes from preferred trade partners and vendors and input that information into an estimating/proposal writing software program.  Throughout the process you are communicating frequently with the sales/design associate to ensure that the final plans and proposal are accurate and ready to present to the homeowner.  You also have the opportunity to visit jobsites and increase your knowledge of the construction process as well as learn the pros and cons of materials and products out on the market. Finally, you have fun in the process as you build strong relationships with all team members on the DreamMaker team!
Education and Experience Educational Requirements: 
  • High School Diploma
  • Or work experience, 2 years minimum in related field and position
Professional Experience: 
  • Some experience working with residential trade contractors (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, countertops, drywall, tile and flooring)
  • Understanding of construction basics
  • Basic computer skills in MS Office applications
  • Design software experience with 20/20 or equivalent

Position Lead Carpenter / Remodeling Construction Project Manager

  • Knowledgeable about residential codes
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to drive with a trailer
