Project Summary Our clients’ 20th floor condo unit boasted magnificent views of a city lake and abundant natural light through large windows. But the light didn’t reach into the kitchen area, and the existing dark and heavy traditional cherry cabinets didn’t help. The existing countertops were higher than standard and too tall for our less-than-five-foot client (she joked that they came up to her chin!) and the different counter levels cut up the counter space, limiting productivity. Our solution for this kitchen remodel combines reworked, refaced, and new cabinets with salvaged and new fixtures and materials to result in a simply elegant light-filled space custom designed to our client.

They found a 12th floor condo with big windows and beautiful views of all the city has to offer, but the kitchen was dark and didn't speak to their personalities or their needs. Their remodeled kitchen is now light-filled and warm, comfortable for the two of them and their two newly adopted cats to begin their next chapter.
