Traditional home styles are inspired by the past, but that doesn’t mean a traditional home has to look outdated. Instead of dated, think classic. Traditional stylings combine practicality and functionality with eye-catching elegance and luxurious comfort. When you walk into a home that’s been remodeled and styled traditionally, you should automatically feel welcomed by the warmth of soft edges and greeted by perfect symmetry and balance. We had previously remodeled this client’s two bathrooms, and she called on us to work our magic on this third project. Planning was just completed when COVID hit; our client paused the project and it was resumed and completed two years later.

Project Summary Our clients had lived in their home with their two children for twelve years, and having decided to stay there for the foreseeable future, they wanted to update their kitchen. Removing walls and relocating a vent pipe resulted in a new open space redesigned around a large multi-functional sit-up island. Without adding any square footage, the new layout with its strategically placed workstations and ample counter space is conducive to multiple cooks working simultaneously. There are few wall cabinets, and except for the refrigerator, all appliances are under counter, making the kitchen easy and safe to use for all ages.
