A Kitchen Worth the Wait

Failing appliances prompted this kitchen remodel and presented the opportunity to completely rethink the layout. We had previously remodeled this client’s two bathrooms, and she called on us to work our magic on this third project. Planning was just completed when COVID hit; our client paused the project and it was resumed and completed two years later.

Our client wanted to keep her existing dining table and chairs, but new flooring was needed throughout the main areas of this split-level home to tie the spaces together. We suggested opening the kitchen wall to make the main level even more open, eliminating the peninsula in favor of a sit-up counter. The new appliance and cabinet layout is more efficient and visually pleasing and allows for more counter space and efficient cabinet storage space.
