Multi-Generational Concept Auxiliary Dwelling Unit: Bath
Project Name
Multi-Generational Concept Auxiliary Dwelling Unit: Bath

		Project Summary
Our clients’ aging parents needed a convenient place to live and liked the idea of living near their son and daughter-in-law but still maintaining their privacy and independence. Since potential disability was a factor, the home needed to be accessible. The solution was a stacked-up ADU (accessory dwelling unit) built above the two-car garage at our clients’ home in the city. We successfully designed the critical kitchen and bath areas by blending accessibility features and modern aesthetics. Here is the bathroom

		Project Story
A combo washer/dryer saves space and is easily accessible. The roll-up vanity is also accessible, with a quartz top, single handle faucet, and undercounter night lighting. The mirror-fronted medicine cabinet integrates variated interior shelving and ample side lighting. The toilet is fitted with an accessible bidet seat. The ramped roll-in shower features solid surface wall panels with and back wall sea shell panel insert. An adjustable hand-held shower incorporates a grab bar. Accessories include a fold-down seat and soap and shampoo shelves also with grab bars incorporated. The combination of materials give a modern high quality look yet are easy to maintain.

			Why DreamMaker
We were part of a team working on ADUs in the metro area, a relatively new concept. We were able to show our clients that accessibility could be tastefully incorporated into a beautiful design in a small space, and that we could handle the project as a package, saving them time and money.

		Customer Testimonials
