2022’s Biggest Interior Color Trends

One of the simplest ways to give your home a different look is to change up paint colors. The color of a room can also affect your mood, energy and even productivity. Today, you can get interior paint in every color imaginable. One way to ensure you have the right paint color for your interior is to work with an experienced home renovation contractor. Here are the paint colors that experts say will be big trends in 2022.

It’s All About the Greens

Many brands chose various shades of green as their 2022 Color of the Year. Houzz says that searches for green cabinets increased by 829% these past few months. Evergreen Fog SW 9130, an earthy green hue, is Sherwin-Williams’ 2022 pick, while Guacamole PPG112-5, a lively green, is Gidden’s Color of the Year. Then there’s PPG’s choice, Olive Sprig PPG1125-4, which is a more subtle shade of the trending hue.

Colors That Bring You Back

Many color trends this year pay tribute to the good old days. Farrow & Ball chose five outstanding colors for 2022 that can give your spaces that nostalgic feel. Of course, green was one of the colors. The selection includes Stone Blue No. 86, Babouche No. 223, School House White No. 291, Breakfast Room Green No. 81 and Incardine No. 248.

Separating Work, Play & Rest

Working from home has become the new normal for many homeowners. Having a dedicated space to do your job helps your focus and productivity. It is just one of the many reasons people are creating home offices. According to Houzz, dedicated spaces for hobbies, entertainment and work are expected to be huge trends in the upcoming months. You can utilize this year’s interior paint color trends to designate areas for your daily activities.
