Springfield - Our History
How it all began…
When I (Curt Trampe) started my remodeling business in 1998, HomeWorks, Inc., we were in every sense of the words, “all things to all people”. It is great to be someone’s hero when it comes to their home improvements, but it is also very demanding (and often inefficient, and potentially chaotic… you get the picture). The disconnect we experienced providing carpentry work without having been involved in the design and material selection for a project led me to the realization that there had to be a better business model that would fit my personal desires and potential clients needs in a more efficient and effective way.
So in 2006, I discovered DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen and decided to roll my current business into this franchise. This allowed me to focus on kitchen and bath remodeling and sculpting our services to cater to a client’s project design needs at their very first discussion of a remodel, helping them maneuver through material choices to find products that would meet their specific needs and then provide the hands-on carpentry services that ensured the final project fit together exactly as they had imagined. The act of transforming a design on paper to a fantastically functioning space is an art. Honestly, we get better with each project.
We continuously strive to improve upon our processes to create a remodeling experience that is actually fun for all involved. The Design Center is a great example of this. Having showroom space to meet with clients allows us to show actual materials in realistic displays, demonstrate otherwise difficult design and carpentry approaches as well as differences in types of flooring, fixtures, lighting, cabinetry, and so much more.
I truly believe we are now offering an excellent solution to the kitchen, bath, and other remodeling needs that is focused on the client experience and am proud of the feedback that we continue to receive regarding our efforts.
