We had the pleasure of renovating both a kitchen and a bathroom in this Tiverton home, transforming a dated, closed-off kitchen and bathroom into bright, contemporary spaces designed for both beauty and function.   The original kitchen had an octagonal island with an intrusive ceiling fixture, heavy-feeling wood cabinetry, and limited lighting, resulting in a layout that felt crowded and dim. Our client wanted a kitchen that felt bright, open, and better suited to everyday cooking and entertaining.   The most impactful change came from reimagining the layout; instead of the closed-off entrance, awkward island, and impractical appliance locations, we opted to move elements around and free up visual space. The new island is streamlined and prep-focused, creating a natural gathering spot, while thoughtful storage solutions kept the design clean and clutter-free. We further modernized the space by relocating the appliances for improved workflow and updating them to brand-new versions. Sleek white cabinetry replaced the darker finishes, instantly lifting the room’s tone and reflecting light throughout the space from the new recessed lighting. Calacatta Safyra Quartz is the star of the show with countertops that flow all the way up into a full slab backsplash, tying everything together with a polished shine. With a fresh coat of paint, brushed nickel hardware, and a stainless steel hood, the finishing touches are complete!   The result is a kitchen that feels dramatically more spacious, functional, and aligned with contemporary living. It’s a testament to how strategic design choices can completely redefine a home’s energy and usability.   Their bathroom renovation turned a neglected utility zone into a bright, multi-functional space that balances everyday practicality with sleek design. What began as an unfinished corner with exposed studs, visible plumbing, and cluttered surfaces is now a cohesive laundry-and-bathroom suite that feels intentional, organized, and refreshingly modern. The original layout offered little in terms of comfort or efficiency. With the washer and dryer tucked beneath open shelving and cleaning supplies scattered throughout, the space felt more like storage than a usable room. Our client envisioned something different: a space that could serve dual purposes without sacrificing style.   We started by finishing the walls and introducing a soft white and blue palette to bring calm and cohesion. A new glass-enclosed corner shower was installed to maximize footprint without overwhelming the room, complete with white picket shower wall tiles, white hexagon mosaic shower floor tiles, and a recessed niche to keep essentials within reach. Timeless brushed nickel accents throughout make it feel cohesive: shower fixtures, toiletries, vanity faucet, and hardware. Updated tile flooring replaced the mismatched surfaces, tying the entire space together with a clean, contemporary feel. Sleek white cabinetry for both the vanity and upper cabinets above the laundry units added concealed storage, eliminating visual clutter.   This remodel is a testament to what’s possible when function meets finesse. By rethinking layout, finishes, and flow, we created a space that’s not only more usable; it’s a pleasure to walk into.
