Lee Willwerth

General Manager/Owner

Lee Willwerth

Lee helped found DreamMaker Ann Arbor in 2004. Since then he has been directly involved in nearly every aspect of the business. As co-owner with his wife Brenda, Lee works to create a place where his employees thrive as they improve the lives and homes of DreamMaker clients. He is proud that it has grown over the years into a company that truly lives up to its mission: creating great environments for great people; both employees and customers. When he is not working, Lee enjoys mission work, traveling with his wife and family, fishing, and all things aviation-related! He has been a private pilot since the age of 17 and enjoys flying his plane when the weather is nice (a rarity in Michigan). The rest of the year, you can find him in the shop driving rivets on the plane he is building.

Brenda Willwerth

With over 25 years of accounting experience, her attention to detail, her cost-consciousness, and high level of integrity, Brenda is the right fit for DreamMaker’s accounting and human resources roles. She enjoys providing timely and relevant analysis and working with the team to grow the company. She has been happily married for almost 30 years and has two children in college. Kami Michels

Sales-Designer

Kami Michels

Kami is a vintage-furniture-loving mom to two rambunctious kids. Her red hair, eyebrow piercing and tattoos let people know that she believes the design process should first and foremost be fun. Her approach is to maximize the function of the space, while making it “sexy,” as she likes to say. She moved to Ann Arbor in 1997 to attend the University of Michigan, where she earned her BFA in Sculpture. She later attended Eastern Michigan University for an MS in Interior Design. Kami is proud of her geekiness, and brings a high level of genuine creativity to her clients. Her inspired designs have earned numerous awards and features on Houzz.

Marde Doolan

Sales-Designer

Marde Doolan

Marde has been re-creating spaces ever since she can remember. But her parents did not share their eight-year-old’s enthusiastic suggestions for remodeling their home. Eventually she chose to obtain a bachelor’s degree to pursue Interior Design professionally, because she realized she could never own enough homes to satisfy all of the styles that appealed to her. Living more than 18 years on the west coast gives Marde a unique perspective on design. She creates fresh and exciting spaces that work fluidly with the clients’ needs, which in turn reinforces her dedication to her craft – and her award-winning designs are evidence of that passion.

Matt Strahan

Matt has become a vital part of the team. When he’s not working, he likes to golf, fish, and work on his truck.

Evan Shuster

Lead Carpenter

Evan Shuster

On his first day as a DreamMaker carpenter, Evan has proved he has a sense of humor already – and that’s sort of a requirement for working here.
Evan comes to us with almost two decades of experience. He says that DreamMaker appealed to him because of our reputation for customer service, efficiency, and quality work. Outside of the office, Evan likes to spend time with his two kids, two dogs, seven chickens… and a duck.
Best quote of the year: “You never realize how much you need a duck until you get one!” We look forward to hearing more about that.

Adrian Tatro

Warehouse Manager

Adrian Tatro

Adrian says that DreamMaker appealed to him for the code of values we work by, and that we are a family-oriented company, as he and his wife just welcomed their first child. To relax, Adrian hunts, hikes, writes music, and plays electric guitar. Their family is rounded out with “two big wonderful dogs.” His past jobs include stints as a youth/music minister and as a firefighter/EMT.

Taylor Golub

Taylor Golub

Taylor Golub comes to DreamMaker with passion for both organization and bath and kitchen design… which seems like the perfect combination for a new Purchasing Agent.

Taylor lives with her parents, four dogs, and an Amazon parrot. She says she’s a “homebody” and that “cozy and comfortable is the way to go.” Accordingly, Taylor also loves to bake, paint, and read.

Something very unique about her spare time – she hosts a true crime and paranormal podcast called Morbid Academy. Sounds thrilling!

Matt Shook

Matt Shook

Matt Shook, a new assistant carpenter, says he decided to apply at DreamMaker for the benefits and the overall atmosphere: “It sounded like a great place to work.”

For someone who describes themselves as someone with “great attention to detail” who “likes to get things done in a timely manner”, it is definitely the right place to be!

Matt is a newlywed, just married in September 2021. He also loves “anything outdoors”: hunting, fishing, skiing, and kayaking.

She says, “What I like about DreamMaker is that it’s a team filled with great people, and I’m in a role that will grow my career.”

Courtney Arnold

She lives with her partner of 20 years, their two college-age children, two cats and a dog. In her spare time, she loves to visit escape rooms, enjoys live music, and practices yoga. Born and raised in Michigan, she loves spending time hiking or hanging out near a lake as well.
Courtney also serves as the Treasurer for the Sparrow Freedom Project, a local 501(c)(3) focused on supporting human trafficking survivors and their children.

Marsha Calus

Sales/Design Manager

Marsha Calus

Marsha graduated from South Lyon High School, and studied interior design at Eastern Michigan University. While attending school, Marsha snagged a job specializing in residential bathroom design. By graduation, she was designing kitchens as well.

A few years later, Marsha saw that South Lyon was in need of more options for design and remodeling. She took a leap of faith and started a business from her kitchen table with a laptop and a software program.

Seven years later, Exquisite Kitchen Designs was busier than ever, so she decided that being part of the DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen family, alongside her husband, Matt – would give her more time to do what she loved, without the responsibility of all the backend business needs as well.

When she’s not designing gorgeous interiors, Marsha can be found at various sporting events with her three young children, working out, and supervising the construction of their new home.

Matt Calus

Operations Manager

Matt Calus

For the last 17 years, Matt has worked as a firefighter/ paramedic/SWAT medic and training officer. He and his wife Marsha live in Howell, but are planning a move to Green Oak Township this fall. They have three kids: Christopher, who is 9, Callan, who is 7, and Caila, who will be 3. The boys keep them busy with travel baseball, and the kids will all start jujitsu soon.
In his spare time, Matt will stay on part-time with Green Oak Township Fire Department, as a Sergeant and Training Officer. Matt is also a new beekeeper, and is training their German Shepherd, Onyx, to do scent work.
Matt says, “I am very excited to be starting this new chapter!”

Macy Stutzman

Sales-Designer

Macy Stutzman

Macy grew up in a small town, on a farm, and outside of work, she enjoys working out, DIY projects like rehabbing old furniture, spending time with her husband, and playing with their two dogs. She also says that “the atmosphere, location, and opportunity of DreamMaker all appealed to me.”

Deborah Manchester

Bookkeeper

Deborah Manchester

Having been a professional accountant for eight years before taking time out from her career to raise her two children, Debra is thrilled to join the DreamMaker team.

Her nature-loving family enjoys playing outdoors. They are guardians to a dog, a cat, a horse, and to countless wild creatures that visit their home in the woods. Debra finds additional fulfillment in her roles as a Stephen Minister at First Presbyterian in Saline, and as a volunteer with Free Mom Hugs. She also enjoys reading and writing when time allows.

Dominick Trevino

As a former wrestler at Olivet College, “Dom” says he is very goal-driven and tries to do his best at everything. After work, he likes to watch various sports, including football and basketball, and likes to kayak and play cornhole. I also like that they are family-oriented and very welcoming to new employees.”

Scott Lauffer

Customer Relations Coordinator

Scott Lauffer

Scott Lauffer is our Customer Relations Coordinator. Scott has been doing this kind of work for 7 years, and said the close-knit feeling of the entire team — how it feels like a family — was what drew him to DreamMaker.

Scott has two kids, who he describes as “bright, devious, and incredibly kind.” Outside of the office, Scott likes to spend time outdoors: camping, kayaking, boating and hiking, and this influenced his interest in vintage recreational vehicles. He owns a 1967 Yellowstone Cavalier camper and a 1975 Century Raven 180 Runabout boat.

Rob Pasternak

Carpenter

Rob Pasternak

Rob retired from the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office after a 30-year career, in which he served in various roles. During that time, he also developed an interest in home improvement projects, and enjoyed doing renovation work for family and friends.  Rob joined DreamMaker’s staff because of the team atmosphere. When he’s not working, Rob likes to spend time with his family and friends, and chips away at his ‘Honey-Do’ list.

Tiffany Soldan

Sales-Designer

Tiffany Soldan

Tiffany grew up in a small town with a passion for home design and love for city life. She loves to think outside the box, creating beautiful spaces that can be enjoyed for years to come. When Tiffany is not designing, she can be found spending time with her sons or with her family up north, enjoying the great outdoors.

Alissa Shipman

Client Ambassador

Alissa Shipman

Alissa says she loves the remodeling industry, because the product is “seeing customers’ visions come to life.” Alissa will be working in our South Lyon office as a part-time Client Ambassador, which will be convenient for her since she lives in South Lyon with her family.

She describes herself as a “very compassionate person who loves to help others.” That fits in exactly with the job description, and DreamMaker as a whole! Outside of work, Alissa likes to spend time with her family on vacations, but also likes to hang out on their boat.

Travis Lashuay

Travis Lashuay

Travis comes to us with two years of experience, and is fitting right in: “What I like about DreamMaker is that that they schedule jobs from start to finish, and don’t try to start several jobs at once. At home, I have three kids and two dogs, so it’s a little chaotic, but it’s a new #adventure every day. When I get home at night, I try to spend my time surrounded by #family. I also like to ride my motorcycle and learn new things!” Great to have you on board!

Austin Varney

Assistant Carpenter

Austin Varney

Austin Varney has been in this industry for 2 ½ years. The family/team-oriented work environment and the learning opportunities are what drew him to DreamMaker. Aside from being a hard worker, he describes himself as someone who loves to stay active, and learn as much as he can. When he’s not working, Austin likes to spend time with his family, kayaking on the lake, and going fishing and hunting.

Shannon Matheson

Sales-Designer

Shannon Matheson

Shannon has worked elsewhere as a kitchen and bath designer for seven years, but said she “likes the supportive work culture and what DreamMaker stands for. Everything aligned with what I was looking for in a career.” Shannon is married and has two cats – but she says despite her obsession with them, anytime she sees other cats, she has to play with them. Outside of work, she loves to travel, and has been to quite a few international destinations, like Australia and Iceland. Her travel goal for the US is to visit all 50 states before she turns 40 – and she is already over halfway to that goal. She and her husband love the Detroit Tigers and attend games frequently during the season.

Olivia Howard
