Save Money and Take the “I’m for Water” Pledge

WaterSense is a voluntary partnership program that’s sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency. Products with the WaterSense label meet EPA criteria and are water-efficient. To help you save water, WaterSense has also started the “I’m for Water” pledge. Today, we’ll explain why conserving water is important and how you can do your part.

Why Conserving Water Is Important

Less than one percent of the water on the planet is potable and available for human use. That’s why it’s important to be efficient with the water supply that we have. Fortunately, water-saving technologies are available and there are simple steps we can all take around the house. Being water-efficient doesn’t just preserve our global water resources. It can also save you money on your utility bills.

Tips for Saving Water

If you need a bath replacement or you need to remodel your bathroom, consider using WaterSense-labeled products. These products are water-efficient. They are certified to use at least 20 percent less water while still performing as well or better than typical products. In addition, there are a lot of things you can do to reduce your water use. For example, fixing leaks immediately, taking a shower instead of a bath and turning off the tap while brushing your teeth.

The “I’m for Water Pledge” and Checklist

To help save water and save money on your utility bills, WaterSense encourages you to take the “I’m for Water Pledge” and use the 2019 monthly resolutions checklist. This checklist provides a simple and easy-to-follow way for you to save water throughout the entire year. Simply read the checklist each month and check off the steps. If you need a bathroom remodeling contractor to enhance your bathroom with water-efficient products, DreamMaker is here to help you.
