Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responding to and following up on all inquiries from prospective customers
  • Qualifying all prospective customers
  • Utilizing DreamMaker 7-Step Sales System
  • Attending all client meetings required to complete the sale
  • Creating short and long term annual sales goals
  • Completing the project estimate at the company-determined GPM
  • Designing projects using computer software and/or hand sketches to prepare creative project designs
  • Attending staff home shows and other marketing events
  • Collecting and completing DreamMaker Design/Build Retainer
  • Tracking all client information and lead follow-up by hand or software
  • Responsible for showroom staffing
  • Taking “Before” and “After” pictures as required
  • Obtaining quotes from all trade contractors and suppliers to prepare the estimate
  • Providing clear and detailed definition of scope of work to customer and staff through proposals
  • Pricing all Change Orders when necessary and giving to Lead Carpenter to have signed by customer and collecting funds
  • Assisting the homeowner in all product selection
  • Preparing and completing all contract documents
  • Reviewing all PO’s for accuracy before ordering and ensuring they are countersigned by vendor
  • Completing jobsite checklist
  • Scheduling Sales/Production hand-off (pre-construction)
  • Scheduling pre-job walk thru with client and Lead Carpenter
  • Following up with the homeowner during construction
  • Meeting with customer after project to present warranty packet and asking for critique on how project went and referrals
  • Asking for and obtaining referrals
  • Completing any thank-you letters and follow-up correspondence
  • Submitting entries for design awards at regular intervals
  • Preparing and managing marketing budget
  • Following the DreamMaker Code of Values

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales or related field equivalent work experience, 5-10 years in related field and position
  • Minimum of two years of selling in the Kitchen and Bath Industry
  • Experience working with residential trade contractors (plumbing , electrical, HVAC, carpentry, countertops, drywall, tile and flooring)
  • Extensive sales background
  • Understanding of construction basics
  • Basic computer skills in MS Office applications
  • Design software experience with 20/20 or equivalent is a must
