Scott brings a lifetime of hands-on experience and leadership to DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Lake Norman. A native of North Carolina, just outside the Lake Norman area, Scott was raised in a family that knew their way around a toolbox, building everything from decks and cabinets to roofing and entire homes. It was there, in those early years, that he developed both a deep respect for craftsmanship and a practical foundation in construction.

Scott went on to study Corporate Communications and Business Management at Appalachian State University, where he also began developing the leadership and business skills that would define his professional career. For over two decades, he worked in the construction tool industry, serving in key sales and marketing roles for some of the most respected brands in the industry, where he worked closely with contractors on job sites and further cemented his passion for the building profession.  His last five years were spent in executive leadership where his skill set expanded into total business operations.

In 2019, Scott and his wife Haley launched a real estate development company focused on buying, designing and remodeling homes throughout North and South Carolina for resale or rent. Haley led the design vision, while Scott handled the building and operations. As the market evolved, so did their focus.  Realizing their true passion was rooted in the design and remodeling process, they transitioned toward that on a full-time basis.

That passion led Scott to leave his corporate career to work full time side by side with his wife, where they created C4 Construction Group and partnered with DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen. Today, as the owners of DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Lake Norman, Scott and Haley are committed to bringing elevated design, exceptional craftsmanship, and a stress-free remodeling experience to their local community and surrounding area.

Scott has lived and worked across the East Coast, from North Carolina to Massachusetts and Connecticut, but North Carolina has always been home. He’s been married to Haley since 2008 and is the proud father of two wonderful children. He’s an active member of his church, enjoys time and traveling with his family, can be found out back honing in on his pitmaster skills, loves catching live sports, cheering on his beloved Mountaineers during football season, and enjoying live music whenever possible.

Scott is a proud member of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), and the local Chamber of Commerce 

Haley was born in Dallas, Texas, but moved to Boone, North Carolina, at a young age. Raised in a family of entrepreneurs, she developed a strong entrepreneurial spirit early on, inspired by her parents and grandparents, who each ran businesses in the local community

Her passion for drafting and design began at a young age, while her family was building their own home and reviewing floor plans. She would spend hours hand-drawing furniture and sketching her dream layouts—an early spark that naturally led her to enroll in a high school drafting class, a decision that would profoundly shape the course of her life.

That passion for design took her to Appalachian State University, where she studied Interior Design and laid the groundwork for what would become a lifelong love for blending creativity with functionality. Her education continued through specialized programs at the Art Institute of Dallas and the Charleston School of Interior Design, where she sharpened her skills in spatial planning, material selection, and client-centered design. These experiences gave her the technical foundation and confidence to bring imaginative spaces to life, always with a focus on how people truly live in them.

Haley and Scott met in college and married in 2008. They have two beautiful children and together have built a life rooted in faith, family, and a shared passion for design and homebuilding. After taking a career break to focus on raising their children, Haley stepped back into the professional world in 2019 when she and Scott launched a real estate development company. Haley led the design vision—carefully planning layouts, selecting finishes, and staging homes for resale or rental across North and South Carolina. Over time, they discovered that their true passion extended beyond real estate; it lived in the joy of remodeling and reimagining kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces to better serve the families who call them home.

That pivotal realization led to the founding of C4 Construction Group and a meaningful partnership with DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen—uniting Haley’s design expertise with Scott’s construction background. Today, through DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Lake Norman, Haley approaches every project with heart and intention, crafting beautiful, functional spaces that reflect each client’s unique lifestyle, values, and aspirations.

Haley is a proud member of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) as part of her ongoing commitment to professional excellence as well as the local Chamber of Commerce.

Beyond her professional life, Haley is an active member of her church and a devoted lover of live music. She treasures time with family—especially when it involves relaxing by the pool, spending the day on the lake, or enjoying the sun and surf at the beach. A passionate traveler, Haley delights in discovering new destinations and gathering fresh inspiration wherever she goes. Though she left Dallas at a young age, her Texas roots run deep—especially on game days, when you’ll find her proudly cheering on her beloved Dallas Cowboys.

Ericka O’Brien brings organization, precision, and a passion for excellence to her role as Office Manager at DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Lake Norman. Born and raised in Ohio, Ericka relocated to North Carolina in 2007 and quickly made it her home. With a background in office management and accounting, she has spent many years supporting teams with the kind of efficiency and professionalism that makes everything run smoothly.

Ericka is the operational backbone of DreamMaker, keeping schedules tight, communications clear, and the office running like a well-oiled machine. Her commitment to detail and her drive to support both her team and clients ensures a seamless experience from the first phone call to the final project walk-through.

She and her long-time partner live in the Lake Norman area with their two children. Outside of work, Ericka enjoys spending time with her family, coaching her daughter’s cheer team, gardening, traveling and camping out as long as it’s in a camper; she doesn’t like snakes or bugs.  Her energy, dedication, and warmth make her an integral part of the DreamMaker family.

Chief Greeter: Jax 

Born to sniff and serve, Jax is our beloved Beagle and official Chief Greeter at DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Lake Norman. With a nose for new friends and a tail that never stops wagging, when he’s in the office he’s the first to welcome guests and team members alike with boundless affection. When he’s not making his rounds through the office, you can find him tracking invisible trails, chasing sprinkler water like it’s his job, or challenging anyone brave enough to a tug-of-war match. Pizza enthusiast, nap connoisseur, and all-around morale booster, Jax brings heart and joy to the DreamMaker family, one sniff or loud bay at a time.
