Position Lead Carpenter Full-Time
Salary $25 - $35 per hour based on KSA
Essential Duties and Responsibilities As a Lead Carpenter, you'll be responsible for leading all phases of our interior remodeling projects, under the supervision of the project manager. You will work with a Carpenters Helper and alongside of trade partners. A strong background in all areas of residential remodeling is preferred. You will ensure that DreamMaker Code of Values is being upheld on the jobsite and that work is being completed on time while ensuring a high quality of workmanship. The typical starting time is 7:30, although this can vary based on the property owner's and jobs needs. You'll enjoy weekends off. The essential duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to, the following:
  • Must buy into and stand behind the DreamMaker Code of Values
  • Remaining up to date with current building code requirements
  • Reviewing production procedures before the project starts
  • Ordering, and/or making requests for, construction materials
  • Reviewing and initialing the Material Staging Checklist from EMT2 before transporting materials to the jobsite
  • Coordinating with all trade partners and inspections
  • Attending pre-construction meetings
  • Attending weekly production meetings
  • Placing job signs at the jobsite
  • Managing the budget to profitably produce the job by managing available resources
  • Monitoring to ensure the degree of quality and timeliness of trade partner work
  • Setting up jobs for dust protection
  • Monitoring budget daily with respect to labor and materials
  • Completing and submitting daily logs such as time cards or purchases
  • Communicating progress of job to homeowners and production manager
  • Keeping work vehicles clean and stocked with necessary materials
  • Maintaining a clean appearance and wearing DM-approved clothing
  • Reviewing the scope of work/specifications with homeowners
  • Transporting materials to the jobsite
  • Reviewing change order requests with the salesperson and processing change orders as necessary
  • Completing the job completion checklist and reviewing with homeowners
  • Obtaining homeowner signature(s) at job completion
  • Collecting job signs at job completion
  • Conducting warranty work as needed
  • Submitting receipts for company purchases
  • Following the DreamMaker Code of Values

  • Minimum High School Diploma (Trade School Preferred)
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience as a lead carpenter
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills in MS Office and preferably Job Tread
  • Basic knowledge of residential building codes
  • Valid PA Drivers License with no points or suspensions
Experience
  • 3 - 5 years experience in residential interior remodeling.
  • Good attention to detail
  • Experience working with residential subs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, countertops, drywall, tile contractor, flooring and concrete).
  • Product knowledge (cabinets, faucets, tub/whirlpools, shower enclosures, countertop material, etc.)
  • Organization and scheduling skills.
  • Is willing and able to follow a system.
  • Understands the importance of Frontline Service with Customers, (create a cheerleader customer).
  • Strong Residential Construction knowledge.
  • Has multi discipline abilities including, but not limited to, the basics of carpentry, drywall, plumbing, electrical, tile setting and flooring, painting and countertops.

Position Carpenter’s Helper (PT/FT)
Salary $15-25 per hour depending on qualifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities As a Carpenter Helper, you'll be responsible for preparing for jobs, including placing and removing protective materials, as well as setting up materials and tools. You'll assist our lead carpenter in accomplishing tasks, ensuring high-quality workmanship. The typical starting time is usually 7:30 am, although it can vary based on the property owner's, and job's, needs. You'll enjoy weekends off.
  • Follow the DreamMaker Code of Values
  • Attend daily or weekly meetings at office to plan work
  • Treat all property owners and their property with courtesy and respect at all times
  • Site set up, preparing jobs
  • Assist the lead carpenter with job specific tasks
  • Completing every job as per specifications
  • Clean up the job site at the end of each day
  • Assist with shop/warehouse tasks as needed
  • Must be self-Motivated
